Pe 21 Iunie 2011, atletul australian de Motocross Freestyle Blake Williams a zburat prin aer, imbracat in costum de politist italian, calare pe un Moto Guzzi V 50 clasic, pe stadionul olimpic al Romei pentru a anunta cea de-a treia etapa a Turului Mondial Red Bull X-Fighters 2011, care va avea loc vineri, 24 Iunie. Ne-am gandit sa sharuim cateva poze din show. Ma face sa ma gandesc la T-1000 din filmul Terminator, doar ca mai fain.
Australian Freestyle Motocross rider Blake Williams put an original Italian police Moto Guzzi motorcycle through the paces at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome (ITA) on Tuesday afternoon. Williams will be competing on Friday evening in front of 50,000 fans at the venue, which is also home to AS Roma and Lazio Rome, on what will be the greatest FMX course ever built in Italy against the world’s best freestyle motocross athletes. Let the battle of the gladiators begin.
ROME (ITALY) – “The bike’s handling is really good even though it’s obviously a bit heavy for backflips and things like that,” the 26-year-old Williams said with a laugh. “The shock absorbers really aren’t made for this. I’m happy that I’ll be able to use my own freestyle bike in the competition on Friday evening.”
The Red Bull X-Fighters will be appearing in Rome for the second time in the history of the sport on June 24, 2011. In 2010 Dany Torres (ESP) won the spectacle in the Stadio Flaminio. Nate Adams took third place in Rome, which was enough for him to clinch the overall championship. “I can well remember the great atmosphere,” Adamds said. “There were 25,000 fans there and the place was really hopping.”
The number of spectators will double this year. There will be 50,000 spectators this year in the Stadio Olimpico, which was one of the venues for the 1990 World Cup soccer tournament.
The FMX motors will be roaring at six events on four continents this year. The riders already took to the air in front of the Jumeirah Beach Residence in Dubai (UAE) and in the Brazilian capital Brasilia. After Rome the tour moves on to Madrid, Poland and Australia.

Va indemnam, la finalul saptamanii trecute, sa va uitati la un LIVE webcast din Dubai. Ne-a impresionat coverage-ul evenimentului, claritatea imaginii (era totusi un webcast) dar mai ales spectacolul oferit de cei 12 rideri. Torres FMX king of the desert
Dany Torres of Spain triumphed on Friday evening in the opening round of the 2011 Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour in Dubai. A crowd of 15,000 fans witnessed the exciting Freestyle motocross showdown on the beach in front of the luxurious metropolis on the Arabian Golf.

Just days before the opening event of the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour 2010 in Mexico City, local hero Johan Nungaray (MEX) and FMX legend Ronnie Renner (USA) held a final warm-up session at the Central Ceremonial Otomi. On Friday the best FMX riders in the world perform at the first stop of the World Tour 2010 in the Monumental Plaza de Toros.

After the most spectacular showdown in the history of Red Bull X-Fighters in London in 2009, the premier freestyle motocross series in the world returns in 2010 with new riders, new locations and plenty of new tricks.
This year will once again see the crème-de-la-crème of the international FMX scene battle it out for the coveted title of Red Bull X-Fighters Champion.
In 2010, Red Bull X-Fighters is no longer an invitational. Instead of holding a seperate Ranking Session, which was planned to take place this February in Southern California, but had to be cancelled due to bad weather, qualifying will be done according to performance and the World Tour ranking.

“Pe 4 Iulie, incepand cu ora 19.00, in Piata Constitutiei va avea loc primul show de FMX din Romania, Red Bull X-Fighters Exhibition. Intrarea va fi libera pentru spectatori.”
Asta este vestea citita de mine azi pe site-ul celor de la motoflash!!! Fript fiind cu experienta AC/DC am verificat si pe site-ul oficial (nu ca nu as avea incredere in motoflash, baietii sunt foarte buni dar am vrut sa fiu 10000% sigur) si e OFICIAL!
Nu m-am putut abtine si am facut un print screen de pe site-ul oficial (mai sus) ca sa impartasesc cu voi vestea cea mare! Va fi un show de zile mari, mersi Red Bull (nu, nu primesc nici un leu de la ei 
).
Contrar obiceiului, voi lasa anuntul in header chiar daca el se intampla in Iulie, nu in luna curenta :)
