Pentru ca, iata, riderii din Ciuc, dupa lupte seculare care au durat cam 7 ani, au infiintat un dirtpark accesibil, in care te poti tavali cu mtb-ul sau cu bmx-ul in voie, tu si cu bicla, in intimitatea rampelor. Ce poate fi mai romantic de atat? E loc si de mai bine! Scrie mai jos de ce:

Lucrurile bune trebuie coapte si rumenite pe indelete! Prin urmare, RideMore & Burn va invita la Miercurea Ciuc in weekend-ul 5-7 august pentru un Altfel de concurs: o zi de park, o zi de dirtjumping, o zi de relax si fix doua petreceri intre! Verificati-va agendele, pentru ca nu vreti sa pierdeti asa ceva, va asiguram!

Dupa cum poate ati mai auzit, la Miercurea Ciuc comunitatea de rideri a pus mana de la mana inca de mai bine de 7 ani si a facut posibila existenta unui dirtpark pe un teren particular, unde cine vrea sa se dea o poate face nestingherit, unde cine vrea sa puna mana pe sapa nu este oprit si unde nu vine nimeni sa deranjeze. Un factor clar pentru progresul sportului, iar rezultatele le vedem de abia azi, cand orasul nostru nu mai incape de mountainbikeri si BMX-eri, care mai de care mai talentati. Nu am avut niciodata un astfel de concurs aici la Ciuc, dar acum este momentul si pentru aceasta premiera!

? Joi, 4 august, este ziua oficiala de antrenamente pentru ca riderii sa se obisnuiasca cu terenul, temperaturile ridicate si aerul puternic din Miercurea-Ciuc.
? Vineri, 5 august, participantii se vor aduna in skatepark-ul orasului, alt spot ridicat de rideri pentru rideri, pentru primul concurs de BMX si moutainbike al weekend-ului, iar seara se vor indrepta spre prima petrecere pe stil de Ciuc. Nimic nu este negociabil, la noi distractia este obligatorie!
? Sambata, 6 august, atentia si interesul se muta in dirtpark pentru concursurile de dirtjumping, dar si alte surprize, care ne vor tine ocupati pana pe inserat. In mod evident, si seara de sambata se va incheia tot cu o petrecere, exact asa cum se cuvine!
? Duminica este pentru relaxare, photoshooting si restul lucrurilor pe care le are Ciucul de oferit.

Concursurile se adreseaza atat mountainbikerilor cat si BMX-erilor. Intreg dirtpark-ul a fost modificat radical in ultima luna si jumatate si va reprezenta o treapta importanta pentru evolutia scenei din Romania. Intreg parcursul este construit in spirit de freestyle motocross si va fi finisat impecabil, “ca la Neckermann”, pentru weekend-ul de concurs. Mai jos si cateva date privind elementele din dirtpark:

? 2 kickere paralele (unul cu mai mult vert) la inceput; 2.5 m inaltime, 5.2 m gap, aterizare step-up de 3.5 m inaltime, lata de 6 m;

? 2 kickere paralele in continuare; 2.5 m inaltime, 6 m si 5.5 m gap, aterizare step-up de 3.5 m inaltime, lata de 6 m;

? hip-jump pe partea stanga; kicker de 2 m inaltime, aterizare lata de 4 m si inalta de 3.75 m, gap de 6 m (pentru a-l sari drept de tot);

? hip-jump mare cu aterizari in ambele parti; kicker de 3.5 m, gap total de 7 m.

Premiile puse in joc sunt in valoare de 4000 de Euro si vor fi impartite intre park si dirt, BMX si mountainbike. Asteptati-va la rideri din afara tarii si la numeroase surprize!

Superstarul FMX al Spaniei, Dany Torres, a participat la un antrenament spectaculos marti seara, cu o motocicleta de freestyle motocross, in fata decorului inspirational de la Marques de Riscal, in Elciego (Alava), Spania. Eroul local, in varsta de 24 de ani, este vazut ca favorit in ceea ce priveste participarea la Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour, vineri seara, in arena de corida din Madrid.

Spain?s FMX superstar Dany Torres completed a spectacular training session on Tuesday evening with a standard Freestyle motocross bike in front of the awe-inspiring backdrop of the Marqués de Riscal wine-growing region in Elciego (Alava) in Spain. The 24-year-old local hero is seen as the favorite going into the fourth stop of the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour on Friday evening in Madrid?s bullfighting arena.

MADRID (Spain) ? Torres raced at a speed of 55 km/h over a 2.5-meter high ramp in front of the Hotel Marqués de Riscal and landed safely after a 15-meter jump. ?It?s a unique landscape and an impressive building,? said Torres. ?During the jump I had to concentrate completely on the job at hand.? Designed by architect Frank O. Gehry (CAN), whose works include the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, the main building of the Marques de Riscal complex has become an international tourist attraction.

On Friday evening Torres will be on center stage in the Plaza de Toros de las Ventas and attempting to force his 11 opponents from around the world to their knees and leave the bullfighting arena triumphant. A frenzied crowd of 25,000 fans is expected for the battle starting at 9:30 p.m. local time. They?ll greet the revving engines with the traditional waving of the white handkerchiefs. The Red Bull X-Fighters have come to Spain every year since the first event here in Valencia in 2001 and the competition in Madrid will be the 33rd running of Red Bull X-Fighters in the history of the world?s best FMX tour. It will be taking place in Spain for the 12th time and 10th time in Madrid (Valencia hosted the event in 2001 and 2003).

Nate Adams (USA), who will not be in Madrid due to an injury, is leading the 2011 Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour after getting third place in the season opener in Dubai (UAE) and back-to-back victories in Brasilia (BRA) and Rome (ITA). Andre Villa (NOR) is 40 points behind and has plenty of chances to close the gap with three events left on the calendar in Spain, Poznan (POL/August 6) and Sydney (AUS/September 17).

[Avem poze faine!] Cei mai buni 12 atleti de Freestyle Motocross au transformat Stadio Olympico intr-un veritabil Circus Maximus modern, vineri, pe 24 Iunie. In fata a 45.000 de spectatori, Nate Adams[USA] a reusit sa castige competitia, si a fost incoronat ca noul “Roman Caesar”. Pe locul doi s-a clasat norvegianul Andre Villa, iar pe locul trei, in mod neasteptat, Josh Sheehan, in varsta de 25 de ani.

The world?s top 12 freestyle motocross athletes converted Rome?s Stadio Olimpico into a modern Circus Maximus on Friday. In front of 45,000 spectators Nate Adams (USA) nailed the tricks to earn the title as the new Roman Caesar. Andre Villa (NOR) took second place and whiz kid Josh Sheehan (AUS) came out of nowhere to take third place in the third stop of the 2011 Red Bull X-Fighters Tour.

ROME (Italy) ? The wave would not stop rolling through the Stadio Olimpico crowd as Nate Adams and Andre Villa were revving up for the start of the final showdown battle on two wheels. When it finally did, Adams got off 18 flawless jumps within the 120-second time limit to win over the five-member gladiator jury, picking up his fifth victory in the 11-year history of the Red Bull X-Fighters. ?It was the most difficult win in my career after I had a crash in Qualifying?, the 27-year-old American said afterwards.

On the biggest FMX course ever built in Italy ? with 11 kickers and 8 dirt landings ? the athletes pushed themselves to their limits, jumping distances of up to 30 meters and as high as 15 meters. Co-favorite Dany Torres (ESP), who won in Rome last year, sent a shiver through the big crowd when he crashed at the end of a botched landing in the second round. His bike veered off the course and into a barrier. Torres came to Rome with five broken bones that weren?t quite healed but nevertheless won the Qualifying round. Judging by the way his right ankle feels right now, he will leave Rome with six broken bones. The Spaniard was confident he would be ready to battle for the victory at the next stop in front of his home crowd in Madrid.

Adams widened his lead in the overall 2011 Red Bull X-Fighters standings, following a third place in Dubai (UAE) and victories in Brasilia (BRA) and Rome, to 40 points over Villa. The Norwegian still has plenty of time to catch Adams in the three remaining stops in Madrid (ESP/July 15), Poznan (POL/August 6) and Sydney (AUS/September 17).

Pe 21 Iunie 2011, atletul australian de Motocross Freestyle Blake Williams a zburat  prin aer, imbracat in costum de politist italian, calare pe un Moto Guzzi V 50 clasic, pe stadionul olimpic al Romei pentru a anunta cea de-a treia etapa a Turului Mondial Red Bull X-Fighters 2011, care va avea loc vineri, 24 Iunie. Ne-am gandit sa sharuim cateva poze din show.  Ma face sa ma gandesc la T-1000 din filmul Terminator, doar ca mai fain.

Australian Freestyle Motocross rider Blake Williams put an original Italian police Moto Guzzi motorcycle through the paces at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome (ITA) on Tuesday afternoon. Williams will be competing on Friday evening in front of 50,000 fans at the venue, which is also home to AS Roma and Lazio Rome, on what will be the greatest FMX course ever built in Italy against the world’s best freestyle motocross athletes. Let the battle of the gladiators begin.

ROME (ITALY) – “The bike’s handling is really good even though it’s obviously a bit heavy for backflips and things like that,” the 26-year-old Williams said with a laugh. “The shock absorbers really aren’t made for this. I’m happy that I’ll be able to use my own freestyle bike in the competition on Friday evening.”

The Red Bull X-Fighters will be appearing in Rome for the second time in the history of the sport on June 24, 2011. In 2010 Dany Torres (ESP) won the spectacle in the Stadio Flaminio. Nate Adams took third place in Rome, which was enough for him to clinch the overall championship. “I can well remember the great atmosphere,” Adamds said. “There were 25,000 fans there and the place was really hopping.”

The number of spectators will double this year. There will be 50,000 spectators this year in the Stadio Olimpico, which was one of the venues for the 1990 World Cup soccer tournament.

The FMX motors will be roaring at six events on four continents this year. The riders already took to the air in front of the Jumeirah Beach Residence in Dubai (UAE) and in the Brazilian capital Brasilia. After Rome the tour moves on to Madrid, Poland and Australia.

After the most spectacular showdown in the history of Red Bull X-Fighters in London in 2009, the premier freestyle motocross series in the world returns in 2010 with new riders, new locations and plenty of new tricks.

This year will once again see the crème-de-la-crème of the international FMX scene battle it out for the coveted title of Red Bull X-Fighters Champion.

In 2010, Red Bull X-Fighters is no longer an invitational. Instead of holding a seperate Ranking Session, which was planned to take place this February in Southern California, but had to be cancelled due to bad weather, qualifying will be done according to performance and the World Tour ranking.
